Bikepark & pumptrack

Rolling parks
What are we talking about?

Among mountain bike disciplines, some are more involved than others.
The term bik park can cover several very different types of structure.

  • an entirely concrete area made of various modules (rather urban)
  • a fairly small area made of earth, wood and/or stone modules
  • a network of downhill trails.

Very often, trail networks are found in mountain resorts. Because of the presence of ski lifts, some slopes are “shaped*” for downhill riding, and riders and bikes are brought up via chairlifts or other gondolas.
In many cases, specialized stores allow you to rent all the equipment, and it’s quite often DH (downhill) mountain bikes that are on offer.

The term “shaper” means to work the ground in order to shape it into a flowing track or set of tracks with bumps and banked turns.

Another string to the bow

What about Millau?

Millau isn’t a ski resort, it doesn’t have ski lifts… so what? So what?

The first advantage is that cycling (like hiking, trail riding, paragliding…) is available all year round. And that, in addition to the signposted trails dotted around the area, a public bikepark has been created!
Here, we’re talking about a set of shapely trails, under the viaduct, with an asphalt road closed to traffic to link the top of the trails.

But still...

Completely secure, accessible to all and all year round, the Duverbike Park is a (private) space.
A bikepark in the heart of Millau with equipment rental for fun, recommended and safe riding.

Duverbike, then, is a bikepark, but not just that…
