Nature and Heritage Walks

Walking, discovering, learning

Head and legs

The Causses are more than just limestone and greenery.

They have been shaped by nature, women and men over the centuries, giving the territory a rich and fascinating history.

As you travel along the river Tarn, you’ll discover villages steeped in their own history, and while some share a common story, you’ll also notice a diversity of past lifestyles and man’s adaptation to his environment.

And so, centuries of history from Aguessac, Compeyre, Paulhe, la Cresse, Rivière-sur-Tarn, Creissels and Saint-Geniez-de-Bertrand are told to you through adapted and adaptable circuits (several loops and several difficulties).

Let yourself be guided by Monsieur CLAPASSOU, (a small pile of stone) embark on the age-old stories of these remarkable villages.
