A flagship destination

for fishing

Extreme geological and climatological diversity has shaped a variety of landscapes and waterways that are out of the ordinary for a single département. The wide variety of rivers and lakes in Aveyron makes it one of France’s top fishing destinations. This variety means that everyone can find a fishing route to meet their expectations in terms of species, techniques or landscape, and this for almost all species (trout, carnivorous fish, carp, whitefish…).

Kingdom of trout fishing

Between Tarn and Dourbie

Situated at the very confluence of two prestigious rivers, the Tarn and the Dourbie, Millau occupies a special place among anglers. It is at Millau that the Tarn, slightly mellowed after its run through the eponymous Gorges, passes from first to second category when it is joined by the Dourbie, considered to be one of France’s finest trout rivers.
