In the land of Roquefort, an authentic terroir, in the land of Templar cities, a territory rich in history, that of agropastoralism. Much more than just a trail, this is a real plunge into the Grands Causses, a winter adventure with minerals and gourmet delights.

During these 2 days, you’ll be supervised and advised by our mountain guide, a trail specialist recommended by the Festival des Templiers! On the program, depending on the course: race preparation and performance, race techniques and management (downhill video analysis, key points on the course, effort management, recovery, nutrition advice), equipment advice (use of poles) and personalized coaching.

Bolstered by these experiences, and his mastery of the discipline, Clément will provide you with personalized coaching throughout the course

Graduated, among other things, from a Licence STAPS from Font-Romeu, specializing in “Analysis, coaching and optimization of performance in Trail Running” – he will help you improve your performance and reach your goals

Les Templiers offers a variety of terrains and spaces. It’s not just a sporting race, it’s also about discovery, with a mystical aspect on the night sections, and atmospheres that can change during the day.

10am:Reception of participants by your guide and presentation of the general program of the course

Transport to the starting point

Elements about the route:

Some passages may be technical, paths mostly easy.
A gravelly, technical passage through the boxwoods to climb up to Larzac and the famous rocher de Roucangel
Then offers runners the beautiful technical trail climbing up to Roc de Fabre, the highest point of the race. Once again, Larzac spreads out as far as the eye can see. We set course for the cirque de Tournemire, full Causse, following the tracks left by flocks of sheep, then switch to an old mule track to reach this village.

12:00-13:30: shared packed lunch

About 16:30: guided tour of the Papillon cellars and tasting!

6pm: return to La Cavalerie, to your accommodation

The flanks of the Combalou past the col des Aygières and the famous sentier des Echelles, dreaded for its technicality, especially on its downhill section, in this great rocky chaos, passing at the foot of the great cliffs and impressive chaos of the Combalou.

Return to accommodation and debriefing of the course.

Before leaving, we suggest you visit the Commanderie Templière de Sainte Eulalie de Cernon to tour this medieval village and the historic buildings at its heart.
